I have a special playlist on Spotify.  It's got Flo Rida, M. I. A., Gotye, ODB, Carly Simon, and a lot of other songs from some truly varied artists.  (Seriously, One Direction is on there with Misfits and Tone-Loc.  Varied people, really varied.)

When it's late afternoon, the Witching Hour, and the kids are losing their minds, I can usually count on that playlist to distract everyone with a (slightly inappropriate) dance party.

I heart Spotify!

1. wake up Ziggy

2. wake up later

3. watch movie (Ghost Trap) for Ziggy

4. bath for Ziggy

5. project with Mama and Ziggy

Here's a neat link about Tippi Hedren.  She's Tippi Degre's namesake and fascinating in her own right.  And she's Melanie Griffith's mom.  And she's in The Birds.  And she's kinda, well, iconic.

Some things I never want to encounter are a lion, a tiger, a whale, or the middle of the ocean.  I do not like large, vast things.  (That's why I don't think I'm meant to read or watch The Life of Pi.)  I can't stop looking at these pictures though.  I just can't stop.

I love, love, love How I Met Your Mother. Recently, I've been teaching an ESL class on Monday nights so I miss the new episodes of HIMYM. They are available after midnight on CBS.com and I usually watch them on Tuesday or Wednesday. Last night's episode was "Robin Sparkles 4, y'all" and I was so excited that I hopped out of bed at. 5:30. in. the. morning. to watch it.

It was totally worth it.
